India, Iran address possible improvement of ties

THERAN, Nov. 03 (MNA) – Deputy-FM for Asia and Oceania Affairs has received his Indian counterpart to address possible improvement of bilateral ties.

Mr. Mobashar Jawad ‘M.J.’ Akbar, Minister of State for External Affairs, and a Member of Parliament is in Bishkek, participating in the 15th prime ministers’ meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) where he met with Ebrahim Rahimpour who represents Iran, as an observer state.

They discussed the latest developments in Middle East, especially in Yemen, Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan, as well as bilateral matters of interest; Mr. Akbar said that his country welcomes boosting ties with Iran in all regional and international matters.

He also believed that Iran and India had excellent cooperation with agreements under implementation in oil and gas, transportation, and no less important Chabahar and Makran coastal development.
